Retail Operations Support

General Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Assisting customers in finding products, answering questions, and providing advice on hobby-related topics. 

  • Product Knowledge: Developing a strong understanding of the products sold in the shop, including technical aspects and usage. Understanding of card values, grading, and collecting. 

  • Sales Transactions: Processing payments, handling returns, and operating the cash register. 

  • Inventory Management: Restocking shelves, organizing displays, and potentially ordering new inventory. 

  • Store Maintenance: Keeping the shop clean, organized, and presentable. 

  • Event Organization: Depending on the shop, this might involve organizing workshops, demonstrations, or hobby-related events. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Product Knowledge: A genuine interest in and knowledge of the hobbies sold in the shop. 

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain an organized workspace and manage inventory. 

  • Cash Handling: Proficiency in processing payments and handling cash transactions. 

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assist customers with technical issues or product-related questions. 

  • Teamwork: The ability to collaborate with other staff members to achieve store goals.
